Paano Umiwas sa Scam: Mga Dapat Bantayan sa Pilipinas

Updated: July 2025 | By: Cyberbatim

Bakit Kailangan Nating Maging Maingat?

Whether it's online, text, o face-to-face, scammers are becoming more creative and aggressive.

Top Scam Indicators You Should Watch Out For

  • Masyadong Maganda Para Maging Totoo – If an offer sounds too good to be true, probably it is. Alok na madalian ang yaman? Red flag na 'yan.
  • Pressure to Act Immediately – Scammers often say things like “last chance” or “limited time only” para pilitin kang magdesisyon agad.
  • Humihingi ng Personal Info – Legit companies never ask for passwords, OTPs, or your full banking details through text, chat, or email.
  • Walang Verifiable Information – Kung wala silang website, official email, or government registration (DTI, SEC), hindi sila dapat pagkatiwalaan.
Check mo muna.

Paano Umiwas sa Panloloko

  1. Do Your Research – Mag-search online kung may ibang taong nabiktima na ng kaparehong offer or sender. Gumamit ng Facebook groups o scam watch pages.
  2. Use Official Channels – When in doubt, contact banks or companies directly through their official hotlines and websites.
  3. Huwag Magpadala ng Pera Agad – Kung hindi mo pa lubos na kilala ang kausap, never send money first lalo na sa GCash, PayMaya, or remittance centers.

Common Scams in the Philippines

Here are some examples of scams circulating in the country:

  • Text Scam – "Nanalo ka ng ₱1M!" scam texts from unknown numbers.
  • Investment Scam – Fake crypto or e-loading investments with high returns.
  • Online Seller Scam – Fake shops on Facebook or Shopee na wala talagang produkto.
  • Love/Romance Scam – Using fake identities to trick people into sending money.

Final Reminder

📌 Reminder: You can help stop scams by reporting suspicious activities. Huwag matakot mag-report. Prevention is always better than cure.
